Course Description
The Drawing 1 Art Program is an one year art course. The student will build an Art Portfolio in the field of 2-D media Art. The Drawing 1 Art Program is designed for students who are seriously interested in the practical experience within the art world. Students will submit Art Portfolios and will participate in Art Exhibitions for evaluation throughout the school year. The Drawing 1 Art Program consists of second level drawing, in pencil, charcoal, pastels, and printmaking, with the added understanding of basic painting and other forms of liquid media. The Drawing 1 Studio Art student will create a professional art portfolio of work that will demonstrate the artistic skills and ideas they have developed, refined, and applied over the course of the year. The student will produce a visual history of their progression through the use of Google drive, sketchbook, and their artwork.
